Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of glucose solution, glucose syrup, fructose-containing syrup, hydrogenated glucose syrup, sorbitol, mannitol and maltitol by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Its components are mainly grape, maltose, maltotriose, fructose, sorbitol, mannitol, maltitol and maltooligosaccharides. A cation exchange column must be used.
