This standard specifies the specimens, instruments and equipment, measurement steps, result expression and method precision used in the test to determine the NH penetration capacity and penetration time of coal-based granular activated carbon. This standard applies to coal-based granular activated carbon, as well as to shell-based activated carbon. It also applies to used activated carbon and regenerated activated carbon.
