Scope
1.1 This standard specifies the method of using fluorescent indicators to display the main hydrocarbons in liquid petroleum products on the silica gel adsorption column, and then calculate their volume percentage. This standard applies to the determination of hydrocarbons in petroleum distillates with a boiling point lower than 315°C. Its concentration range is: the volume fraction of aromatic hydrocarbons is 5% to 99%, the volume fraction of olefins is 0.3% to 55%, and the volume fraction of saturated hydrocarbons is 1% to 95%. This standard can also be used for samples with concentrations exceeding the above range , but the precision was not determined. This standard does not apply to samples containing dark components affecting the hydrocarbon chromatographic readings. 1.2 This standard can be used to determine petroleum products in the full boiling range, but statistical test data show that the precision of this standard is not suitable for narrow petroleum fractions with a boiling point close to 315 C, such samples cannot be separated normally, and the measurement results are unstable. 1.3 The applicability of this standard to products derived from non-petroleum mineral fuels such as coal, shale, or tar sands has not been determined, and the precision may or may not be appropriate for such products. 1.4 The precision of this standard is determined with unleaded fuel that does not contain oxygenate blending components. It may or may not be applicable to leaded anti-knock mixtures or (and) oxygenate gasoline blending groups. points of motor gasoline. 1.5 This standard is applicable to samples containing certain oxygenate blending components. These oxygenates are: methanol, ethanol, methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), tert-amyl methyl ether (TAME) and ethyl tert-butyl ether (ETBE), and their concentrations in general blended products will not Affect the determination of hydrocarbons, elute together with alcohol eluent and not be detected, other oxygen-containing compounds must be verified one by one. When analyzing samples containing oxygenate blending components, the results should be corrected based on the whole sample. Note: If the volume fraction of olefins is lower than 0.3%, other methods can be used, such as GB/T 11136. 1.6 This standard uses the International System of Units [SI] units. 1.7 This standard deals with certain hazardous materials, operations and equipment, but it is not intended to make recommendations on all safety issues related thereto. Therefore, users should establish appropriate safety and protective measures and determine the applicable management system before using this standard. For specific hazard statements, see Chapters 8, 9 and ll.5.
