- This standard specifies the basic parameters such as accuracy level, nominal working pressure, nominal diameter, upper limit of measuring range, power and output signal of flow measuring instruments, as well as their units and symbols. This standard applies to flow measurement instruments for fluids in closed pipelines in industrial process measurement and control systems (hereinafter referred to as instruments). Instruments used in laboratories and other fields should also be used with reference. This standard does not apply to open channel flow instruments.
