Scope

This part defines the test methods for the characteristics of integrated circuit cards with contacts and their related interface equipment. This method is compatible with the definitions given in GB/T 16649. Each test method cross-references one or more basic standards, which can be GB/T 14916, or one or more supplementary standards that define the information storage technology used in identification card applications. This part only defines the test methods for the characteristics of integrated circuit cards with contacts and their related interface equipment; GB/T 17554.1 defines the test methods shared by one or more card technologies; other parts define the specific technologies test method. Several of the test methods described in this section can be performed individually. The specified cards are not required to pass all tests sequentially. The test methods specified in this section are based on the definitions in GB/T 16649. Adopt the test method described in this section to confirm the qualified integrated circuit card (ICC) and interface device (IFD), do not rule out failure in actual use. This section does not contain the content of reliability testing.
