- This standard specifies the diagnostic criteria and treatment principles for acute and chronic stomatitis caused by ionizing radiation. This standard is applicable to personnel with oral mucosal reaction and oral mucosal injury caused by large-dose accidental whole body irradiation or partial irradiation in radiation accidents, total body irradiation (TBI) in pretreatment of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and radiation therapy for head and neck tumors.
