This standard specifies the acceptance requirements for destructive testing of welded joints in pipeline installations, as well as the acceptance requirements for radiographic testing, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing and penetrant testing. This standard applies to the installation and welding of long-distance pipelines, compressor station pipe networks and pump station pipe networks that use carbon steel pipes, low alloy steel pipes and their fittings to transport crude oil, refined oil and gaseous fuels and other media. Applicable welding joint types are butt joints, corner joints and lap joints. Applicable welding methods are electrode arc welding, submerged arc welding; non-melting arc arc welding, flux cored wire self-shielded welding, gas welding and flash butt welding, as well as welding methods that are combinations of the above methods. Applicable welding positions are fixed welding, rotation welding, or a combination of the two positions.
