Scope
This standard specifies the measurement methods and requirements for the real ear acoustic characteristics of hearing aids. The purpose is to ensure the measurement of a given hearing aid and the human ear under the conditions described in this standard and using equipment that meets the requirements of IEC 61669. have basically the same result. The measurement of the real otoacoustic characteristics of hearing aids, using nonlinear or analytical processing techniques, the results are only valid for the test signal and test conditions used. Measurements should be made in accordance with the recommendations of the hearing aid manufacturer, as the manufacturer may require the use of special test signals or test conditions other than those specified in this standard.
