Scope

1.1 This standard adopts the Fresnel (Fresnel) reflection system with the sun as the light source to carry out the accelerated outdoor exposure test of non-metallic materials. 1.2 This standard specifies the accelerated outdoor exposure test method for non-metallic materials using the accelerated outdoor exposure test equipment composed of Fresnel reflection system. This standard gives the equipment used (see Figures 1 and 2) and guidelines for the use of the equipment to minimize the variables in accelerated outdoor exposure testing. 1.3 This standard does not give the most suitable test conditions for specific materials, but is limited to measurement methods and process control. The preparation of samples for specific materials, test conditions and result evaluation can refer to existing standards and specifications. 1.4 The equipment and methods specified in this standard may be used to determine the relative durability of materials exposed to sunlight, heat and humidity, provided that the mechanisms of physical and/or chemical changes that occur during the test and are decisive for the accelerated aging rate of the material are not Big difference. 1.5 This standard specifies the uniform sample installation method and maintenance procedures during the test, and also provides maintenance procedures for equipment and reflection systems to ensure cleanliness and durability of equipment. 1.6 This standard applies to those specimens meeting the dimensional requirements in 8.2. 1.7 For the equipment currently in use, this standard does not apply to samples with a thickness greater than 13mm, because the heat dissipation of the sample will be problematic. 1.8 This standard adopts the International System of Units. 1.9 This standard does not give the safety matters that should be paid attention to when adopting this standard. It is the user's responsibility to take appropriate safety and health precautions before using this standard.
