- This standard specifies the type, main dimensions, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules of portable and rocket-type marine rope throwers (hereinafter referred to as rope throwers) that are launched on a special stand. This standard applies to ships and offshore structures sailing at sea, and rope throwers used in distress rescue or special operations at sea in any sea state.
