Scope

This specification specifies the requirements, quality assurance regulations and delivery preparation for directionally solidified columnar crystal and single crystal high-temperature alloy ingots for aerospace engines. This specification applies to directionally solidified columnar crystals and single crystal high-temperature alloy ingots (hereinafter referred to as alloy ingots) smelted and cast in vacuum induction furnaces.
