- This standard specifies the electromagnetic compatibility requirements and measurement methods for 900/1800MHz TDMA digital cellular mobile communication system base station equipment and its auxiliary equipment. This standard applies to 900/1800MHz TDMA digital cellular mobile communication systems that transmit and receive voice and/or data in the first phase, the second phase, the enhanced second phase (including GPRS) and the EDGE phase. It also applies to other frequency bands. Fixed or mobile base station wireless equipment of digital trunking systems based on GSM technology and their corresponding auxiliary equipment (including base station controllers and repeaters, etc.).
