This standard stipulates the terms, definitions and identification structures for the classification of earth-moving machinery according to the following operating purposes:
——excavation;
——loading;
——transportation;
——drilling, paving, compacting or drilling of soil and other materials Digging trenches, such as working on roads, embankments and construction sites. The purpose of this standard is to provide a precise method of identifying machines according to their function and construction. Appendix A provides information on the identification structure used in this standard, and uses this structure to classify earthmoving machinery, and then derives a detailed identification method. Appendix B provides a block diagram of each type of earthmoving machinery operator control.
