- This standard specifies the classification, type, technical requirements and test methods of welding rods for cast iron, filler wires for oxyacetylene welding, gas shielded welding wires and flux-cored welding wires. This standard applies to gray cast iron, malleable cast iron, nodular cast iron and certain alloy cast iron welding electrodes, filler wires for oxyacetylene welding, gas shielded welding wires and flux-cored welding wires.
