Scope

This part specifies the testing, functional testing and connection testing of point-to-point short message interoperability services and protocols between fixed networks. This section is applicable to the interoperability test of point-to-point short message services and protocols between fixed networks and fixed networks. Test methods for short messages within the respective networks of the interoperating parties are not included in this standard. This section applies to laboratory environment testing. Test projects that are difficult to test in a laboratory environment can be tested in a live network environment. For fixed wireless access, this standard applies to PHS wireless phones. Other fixed wireless access can refer to this section.
