SH/T 0755-2005 Standard test method for evaluation of the thermal and oxidative stability of lubricating oil used for manual transmissions and final drive axles (English Version)
This standard specifies the thermal oxidation stability test method for evaluating automobile manual transmission oil and rear axle oil on the L-60-1 testing machine. This test method is formulated with reference to the L-60 test. This method is usually used to determine the viscosity growth, insoluble matter formation and deposition characteristics of lubricants for manual transmissions and rear axles under high temperature oxidation conditions. This standard method does not mention safety issues during use. Users of this method are responsible for taking appropriate safety and protective measures and establishing appropriate regulations before use. Special hazard statements are given in 6.1.2 and Appendix B.
