Scope

This standard specifies the functional, technical and manufacturing requirements for locking mandrels and positioning joints for installation of flow control or other tools in oil well production (water injection) pipes in the oil and natural gas industry. This standard applies to connections with flow control or other equipment, but not to connections with oil pipes.
