IEC 60761-4:2002 Equipment for continuous monitoring of radioactivity in gaseous effluents - Part 4: Specific requirements for radioactive iodine monitors
This part of GB/T 7165 applies to equipment for simultaneous, delayed or sequential measurement of all forms of radioactive iodine. When effluents are sampled for measurement, aerosol-bound iodine is typically collected by a pre-filter and then analyzed separately in the laboratory to provide a complete measurement. The radioactive iodine monitor should have the following functions:
——Measure the volume activity of iodine and iodine compounds in the gaseous exhaust stream and the total activity of the discharged radioactive iodine;
——When the radioactive activity concentration or total activity of iodine or iodine compounds When the preset threshold is exceeded, an alarm signal is activated. Such devices measure the activity of other radionuclides present in the gaseous exhaust stream, including natural radionuclides. Screening for other nuclides is important when measuring low levels of radioactive iodine. This section considers both the use of activated carbon as a sampling medium for iodine and the direct measurement of iodine in chimneys or ventilation ducts. The purpose of this part is to specify specific standard requirements for iodine monitors listed in Chapter 4, including technical characteristics and general test conditions, and to give examples of feasible methods. GB/T 7165.1l_2005 specifies the general requirements, technical characteristics, test methods, radiation characteristics, electrical characteristics, mechanical characteristics, safety characteristics and environmental characteristics of this type of equipment. Unless otherwise stated, these requirements apply to this section.
