Scope
This part specifies on-site measurement methods and evaluation criteria for radial broadband vibration of bearing seats of land-mounted steam turbines and generators. Targeted at: ——Vibration under normal steady-state operating conditions; ——Vibration during transient operation, including acceleration or deceleration through resonant speed; ——Vibration changes during normal steady-state operation. This section applies to steam turbines and generators installed on land with a rated operating speed of 1 500 r/min and 3 600 r/min and an output power greater than 50 MW. It also includes steam turbines and/or generators directly connected to the gas circuit (such as combined Cycle application), in this case, the criteria in this section apply only to steam turbines and generators, and the evaluation of gas turbine vibration should be carried out in accordance with GB/T 11348.4 and GB/T 6075.4. This section is applicable to the measurement and evaluation of vibrations excited by different vibration sources on turbine bearings and generator bearings. However, the guidelines in Chapter 4 and the contents of Appendix A apply only to vibrations induced by rotating parts. These criteria do not apply to the evaluation of 2x frequency (i.e. 2 times the frequency of the electrical system) vibrations excited by electromagnetic vibrations that are excited by the generator stator coils and transmitted to the bearings. The allowable value for this vibration depends on the specific structural characteristics of the generator, and the existing industry simply cannot provide a basis for determining a general value. Allowable criteria for such vibrations may need to be agreed between the supplier and the user and based on experience with similar equipment.
