Scope

This standard specifies the size, appearance, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificates of iron-nickel-chromium 4J6 and 4J47 alloys and iron-nickel 4J42, 4J45 and 4J50 alloys. This standard applies to iron-nickel-chromium and iron-nickel fixed expansion sealing alloys that are matched and sealed with glass or ceramics on electrical components.
