Scope
This standard applies to all projects containing technical content, and can also be applied to other types of projects. This standard provides an overview of project risk management, project risk management process and influencing factors. These project risk management processes are: — establishment of the overall framework, including identification of project objectives; — risk identification; — risk assessment, including risk analysis and evaluation; — risk treatment; — review and monitoring; — communication (including consultation); — project summary. These guidelines are based on the requirements of the organization to implement the risk management process appropriate to the project phases. In certain circumstances, it may not be appropriate to include all the terms of this standard in one contract. Therefore, regardless of the form of the contract, even if the relevant parties to the contract explicitly request to refer to and quote this standard (or some parts of it), and require them to be included in the contract, this standard should only be used to form part of the contract.
