- This standard specifies the basic terminology, testing items, ball tape measure, flat tape measure and gauges of rims and their test methods. This standard applies to the detection of the following various rim contour shapes. One-piece rim: 5° deep groove rim (5°DC), 15° deep groove rim (15°DC); Multi-piece rim: half-deep groove rim, flat bottom rim, 5° inclined bottom rim (5°FB) . This standard does not apply to the testing of tire rims for motorcycles, bicycles and bicycles.
