Scope: This standard specifies the technical requirements for bent plate chains, attachments and sprockets of steel welded construction for engineering use for conveying bulk or accumulated materials. The chain dimensions specified in the standard will guarantee the interchangeability of complete chains and individual links for repair purposes. The number of sprocket teeth applicable to this standard is 5 to 36 teeth. Eight types of attachments for conveyor chains complying with this standard are also specified.
