Scope
This standard specifies the pressure-temperature ratings, materials, design requirements, inspection and testing, marking and non-destructive inspection and repair of steel valves. This standard applies to various materials given in Table 1. The valve body can be cast, forged and welded, and the end connections can be flanged, threaded and welded, as well as wafer-type and single-flange mounted valves. The parameter range applicable to valves in this standard is: valves with nominal pressure PN16~PN760, nominal pressure PN760 is only applicable to valves at welding end; DN65 socket welding end valves and threaded end valves; threaded end valves with rated temperature not greater than 540°C and nominal pressure not greater than PN420; flanged end valves with nominal pressure PN16~PN25, rated temperature not greater than 540°C.
