This standard specifies the packaging of surface mount devices (hereinafter referred to as SMD) using bulk cases. The bulk case is designed to transport, store and feed the parts to the placement machine either directly or using a suitable feeder. The bulk case is attached to the feeder or automatic placement machine by means of connections.
