This standard applies to two-wheeled vehicles (referring to motorized bicycles, two-wheeled vehicles, and two-wheeled vehicles with sidecars) equipped with a spark ignition engine that uses gasoline or oxygen-containing mixed gasoline (hereinafter referred to as gasoline) as fuel. This specification specifies the method for measuring the fuel consumption rate of a motorcycle (hereinafter referred to as a two-wheeled vehicle) when it is operated at a constant speed and in a mode (hereinafter referred to as a test cycle) on a chassis dynamometer.
