Scope

This standard applies to JIS C 7601, JIS C 7606, JIS C 7610, JIS C 7621, JIS C 7623, JIS C 7617-1, JIS C 7618-1, JIS Starting devices for fluorescent lamps and other discharge lamps (glow starters) used in combination with lamps and ballasts covered by C 8147-2-8 and JIS C 8147-2-9, and used with an AC power supply of 1000 V or less at 50 Hz or 60 Hz. Specifies individual safety requirements for starters and igniters (other than those listed above).
