Scope

This standard specifies the design conditions and calculation methods to be applied when specified by the shipowner regarding air conditioning and ventilation for dry goods storage on board internationally operated merchant ships. This standard applies to all conditions other than those encountered in extremely hot climates (ie, hotter than those specified in 4.2).
