Scope

This standard specifies methods for measuring the apparent overall density and apparent core density of rigid foam plastics, as well as the apparent density of semi-rigid foam plastics, flexible foam plastics, and rubber. If the test material has a molded skin, determine the apparent overall density and/or apparent core density. If there is no molded skin, the term overall density is not applicable.
