This standard specifies the determination of the DC critical current of short samples of silver or silver alloy sheathed bismuth oxide superconductors near zero external field and liquid nitrogen temperature (77K). The sample to be tested shall be simple tape or round wire, not braid or cable. The contained superconducting material can be either Bi-2223 or Bi-2212, and its distribution on the cross-section of the sample can be either a single-core structure or a multi-core structure. This standard applies to the determination of the critical current of superconducting short samples with a critical current less than 200A and an n value greater than 10.
