Scope

This standard specifies the uniform specifications, test requirements and quality assessment procedures for connectors. This standard applies to electrical and electrical equipment connectors, not to radio frequency connectors. The quality assessment procedure is divided into qualification approval (QA) and capability approval (CA) procedures, as well as quality conformance checks that form part of the quality assessment procedure.
