Scope: 1. This standard defines the physical characteristics and call control procedures of the general interface between DTE and DCE, and is applicable to the supported service category using synchronous transmission defined in GB/T 11589. 2. This standard covers the formats and procedures for the "Selection", "Call Proceeding" and "DEC Provided Information" signals. 3. Contains terms for duplex operation. 4. The operation of the half-duplex interface that complies with GB/T 11599 to connect the DTE to the data circuit is described in Appendix E. Half-duplex operation between DTEs conforming to this standard is to be studied when this new service facility is approved.
