- This standard specifies single-door turnouts, double-door turnouts, diamond crossings, and cross-over turnouts among railway turnout alignments (hereinafter referred to as alignments) with gauges of 1067 mm and 1435 mm. However, this does not apply to turnouts for Shinkansen railways based on the National Shinkansen Railway Development Act.
