Scope

This part of ISO 12234 specifies a basic removable-memory reference model for storing data from digital electronic still-picture cameras that allows the data to be interchanged among various components of an electronic imaging system by means of a removable-storage media. The removable-storage media usable in digital electronic still-picture cameras is termed "Removable memory". This part of ISO 12234 is applicable to monochrome and colour digital electronic still-picture cameras.
