Scope

This Standard covers safety requirements for elevators, escalator, dumbwaiters and material lifts. If approved, the d addenda to the 1996 Edition, also listed for public review in this issue of Standards Action, will be incorporated into the 2000 edition and will replace the wording contained in the 2000 draft where applicable.
