This "STANDARD" is to be applied when planning and carrying out - renovation work on objects and - treatment of weakly bound asbestos-containing materials resulting from renovation work. Renovation work on objects is the process in which existing or potential asbestos fiber emissions from weakly bound asbestos-containing materials are to be permanently prevented. Treatment of weakly bound asbestos-containing materials includes storage, collection, packaging, transport, solidification or immobilization, thermal treatment and chemical-physical treatment.
