Scope

This standard specifies the quality and testing of ordinary rails and special rails for turnouts (hereinafter collectively referred to as "rails") with a calculated mass of 30 kg/m or more used in railways. Notes 1. The ordering party shall note that the tender shall be accompanied by a description of the general conditions of use of the ordered product and related documentation necessary for the manufacture of the ordered product, in particular the application of this standard. 2. The corresponding international standards of this standard are shown below. The symbols representing the degree of correspondence are IDT (matched), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) based on ISO/IEC Guide 21.
