Scope

This standard provides guidelines for applying glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy (hereinafter referred to as GD-OES) to bulk spectroscopy or depth profile analysis. This guideline refers only to solid samples and does not refer to the analysis of powder/gas samples or liquids. Together with the individual standards of GD-OES that will be published in the future, this will stipulate measurement equipment and measurement methods.
