Scope

Part 1 of PHIGS, ISO/IEC 9592-1:1989, provides a set of functions for the display and modifications of 2D or 3D graphical data. Part 1 is extended by Amendment 2 (Direct Interpretation) to incorporate functionality which allows direct interpretation of primitives on specified targets.
