This standard specifies pressure vessels (hereinafter referred to as pressure vessels) and their auxiliary equipment used in refrigeration systems that use liquefied gases with boiling points of -150°C or higher as refrigerants. Note: Refrigeration as used in this standard refers to vapor compression refrigeration, absorption refrigeration, and devices that perform similar operations (including heat pumps), and is limited to those that circulate refrigerant. () The pressure vessel includes a hermetic compressor having the form of a pressure vessel and an outer shell of a refrigerant liquid pump.
