Scope
This part of IEC 60255 is based on IEC 61000-4-6, referring to that standard where applicable. It specifies the general requirements for conducted disturbances induced by electromagnetic fields for measuring relays and protection equipment for power system protection, including the control, monitoring and process interface equipment used with those systems. The objective of the tests is to confirm that the equipment under test (EUT) will operate correctly when energized and subjected to conducted disturbances induced by radiofrequency fields within the frequency range 150 kHz to 80 MHz. NOTE IEC 60255-22-3 (based on IEC 61000-4-3) will specify the immunity requirements of measuring relays and protection equipment over the frequency range of 80 MHz to 1 000 MHz. The requirements specified in this standard are applicable to measuring relays and protection equipment in a new condition and all tests specified are type tests only. The object of this standard is to establish · terms used; · test severity level; · test equipment; · test set-up; · test procedures; · criteria for acceptance; · test report.
