Scope: This standard specifies the method for measuring the thickness of glass fiber fabrics. This standard applies to woven fabrics with a thickness greater than or equal to 0.1 mm woven from single yarns, double-twisted (plied) yarns (continuous glass fiber yarns or cut-to-length glass fiber yarns), rovings, textured yarns or their mixtures. This standard can also be used to determine the compressibility of woven fabrics made from staple fiber yarns or textured yarns, or unidirectional fabrics made from these yarns.
