Scope

This standard specifies the tolerance system for metric trapezoidal threads specified in JIS B 0216 (Metric trapezoidal threads). The tolerance system according to this standard does not apply to items that require special precision for axial movement, such as lead screws. Note: This standard is based on the ISO metric trapezoidal thread tolerance system specified in ISO 2903 (ISO metric trapezoidal - screw threads-Tolerances).
