Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for metal multilayer materials of thin-walled sliding bearings (bearing bushes, bushings, thrust plates). Metallic multilayer materials consist of a steel back, a bearing alloy layer (cast, sintered, rolled), and possibly a coating. Note: In the future, the use of certain lead-containing materials will be restricted due to environmental protection requirements.
