SAE AMS4777F-1995 Nickel Alloy, Brazing Filler Metal 82Ni 4.5Si 7.0Cr 3.1B 3.0Fe, 1780 to 1830°F (971 to 999°C) Solidus-Liquidus Range (Reaffirmed: 01 Aug 2000)
This specification covers a nickel alloy in the form of wire, rod, strip, foil, and powder and a viscous mixture (paste) of the powder in a suitable binder. This filler metal has been used typically for joining nonferrous alloys and corrosion and heat resistant steels and alloys where low flow point and corrosion and oxidation resistant joints with good strength at elevated temperatures are required, but usage is not limited to such applications. Also may be used as a corrosion and oxidation resistant hard coating.
