Scope
The document decribes a method for the determination of adsorbable organic bound halogens(AOX) in salty waters. AOX is adsorbed in a column packed with activated carbon together with a preadsorbation using a special defined synthetic resin. The loaded activated carbon is burned in an oxygen stream and the halogenide ions are determined by coulometry. The result is given as mass concentration of chloride.
