- IEC 61753 contains multiple parts. This part 1 covers general information on fibre optic connector performance standards. It includes references, definitions and rules for creating a performance standard. It also includes, in annex A, additional information pertinent to the subject. Subsequent parts of IEC 61753-1 are sequentially numbered and contain performance criteria for specific applications. Each part will be added as performance criteria become standardized for international use.
