- This International Standard specifies the procedures to be followed in the development, maintenance and publication of a registry of graphical item identifiers and their meanings. These identifiers and their meanings are assigned to graphical items under the guidance of ISO/IEC JTC1/SC 24. The registration procedure does not assign the value of its identifier to graphic items, as defined by the graphic standard specific to these graphic items as either workstation-based or implementation-based. The font registration table appearing in the graphics item registration table generally does not involve the font registration in the usual sense in the field of office automation. This regulation is applicable to the registration of each individual item in the graphic item category, and these graphic item categories are exclusively used for registration in the international standard formulated by ISO/IEC JTC1/SC 24.
