Scope

The document describes the requirements found necessary to be specified in the light of knowledge and experience gained with analytical cigarette-smoking machines. This standard specifies both the smoking parameters and standard conditions to be provided for machine smoking of cigarettes and the requirements of a smoking machine complying with the standard conditions.
