Scope

The special requirements of this standard apply to swimming pool tanks, fountain ponds and play pool tanks. It also applies to the area surrounding all these tanks. In these areas, during normal use, the risk of electric shock increases due to the reduced electrical resistance of the human body and the contact between the human body and earth potential. The requirements for swimming boules are applicable to play boules. Special requirements may be necessary for medical swimming pools.
